Dr Melanie Johnson is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist providing expert care for women through multiple stages of their lives from adolescence through to menopause. Dr Johnson is Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Mount Barker Hospital. She is proud to offer the women of the Adelaide Hills a thorough and compassionate service that they previously may have needed to travel for.
Dr Johnson provides comprehensive pregnancy care for both low and higher risk pregnancies and can offer deliveries at Mt Barker Hospital, Burnside Hospital or the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for those pregnancies that require tertiary services.
Operating at Mt Barker Hospital, Stirling District Hospital, Burnside Hospital and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Dr Johnson is trained in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery including endometriosis management and total laparoscopic hysterectomy. In addition, Dr Johnson is able to offer a range of urogynaecology procedures for managing incontinence and prolapse.
Dr Johnson proudly serves as a medical officer in the Royal Australian Army Reserves.
